Human Resources Generalist

Salary Range: $72,500 - $80,000 DOE
Position Summary
Tactical Air is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Cecil Airport location. The ideal candidate for this position, reporting to the HR Manager with additional direction from the Chief People Officer, will be a self-starter and able to provide support in the entire employee life cycle, human resources functions, and processes within the assigned business units. This position will partner with the HR Team to determine and address general needs, encourage/develop employee engagement programs, assist in employee relations matters, and to develop and retain talent. The HR Generalist's responsibilities are varied and complex and require a passion for helping people and to be actively engaged in supporting People Operations' most valuable and important customers - our employees - and being part of a team of committed professionals who get things done. The successful performance of this position will require the candidate to meet and support the business goals and mission of People Operations and the company.
Responsibilities
Maintain a high degree of detail-orientation, strict confidentiality and discretion, independent judgement, initiative, and high ethical standards.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of all employee and company data, reports, and records.
Provide excellent customer service utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills with ability to
Prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.
Exceptional attention to detail is a must!
Must be task/process oriented, with an eye to innovative solutions for process improvement.
Extensive use of HRIS and MS Office applications.
Assist with priority efforts or other duties as assigned.
Work Authorization and Environment
Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Tactical Air Support is a drug & alcohol-free workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing may be required.
Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.

Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience with government contractor in the defense/aerospace industry are preferred.
PHR, SHRM-CP, or other relevant certifications preferred.
Knowledgeable in HR competencies, functions, processes, and best practices.
Strong understanding of federal/state employment laws and applicable regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish trust and rapport with employees and provide excellent customer service.
Exceptional HR administration and people management skills.
Strong attention to detail, business communications (both verbal and written), and grammar skills.
Strong research, analytical, conflict management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects, maintain schedules or deadlines, and adhere to standards on assigned projects.
Strong Windows-based computer skills with ability to utilize various software and applications (Microsoft Office 365/GCC High preferred) for creating documents, reports, forms, spreadsheets, presentations, and publications as required; web-based applications for organizing work, communications, or data entry; virtual office/cloud-based file sharing environment.
Must be able to perform this job independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders in a multi-state/multi-operational environment.
Valid state driver's license.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
